Nvidia-backed space-data-center startup Starcloud announced its upcoming second satellite, Starcloud-2, will carry not only a GPU cluster but also an ASIC dedicated to Bitcoin mining, positioning Starcloud to become the first company to mine Bitcoin in space. CEO Philip Johnston said the mining hardware will fly as part of the company's first commercial mission.
