The Wall Street Journal cited survey data from PayZen and the Healthcare Financial Management Association showing 92% of U.S. health providers now encourage or require prepayment from patients, up from 81% in 2025. The story was subsequently picked up by PYMNTS and Becker's Hospital Review, both of which credited PayZen as the source of the underlying survey data.
