Matt Rita is a Managing Director at Link and a former federal and state court litigator. For more than two decades he represented both public and private companies in a variety of industries, including logistics, information systems, healthcare, and financial services. In contrast to his past advocacy before trial judges and appellate tribunals, much of Matt’s work for Link takes place behind the scenes and off the record. He serves as a ready (and discreet) sounding board when challenging compliance issues, sensitive personnel matters, or other potential distractions to our management teams arise.
Matt and Link’s founder, Dave Blundin, trace shared roots back to MIT, where the two first met as underclassmen. After graduating from the Institute with his Bachelor of Science degree, Matt earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Cornell Law School. In a happy full-circle turn of events, one of Matt’s current projects for Link finds him leading the effort to realize Dave’s vision of bringing a new AI-focused incubator to the Cambridge location where they both lived as undergraduates. A Massachusetts native and Red Sox season ticket holder, Matt lives in Boston with his wife and two youngest children (and their puppy, Bunker, who’s named after a nearby hill). As the father of five daughters, he looks forward to the day when women are as well represented in the tech and VC worlds as they are in his family!
